  81. 1) FAQ
  82. --------------
  83. QUESITON:
  84. I got a message that said: "This Presenter MUST be deeded to the Parcel Owner for it to display your presentation", what do I do?
  85. ANSWER:
  86. In order to stream your images, webpages and movies into Second Life, you have to Deed your presenter to the parcel owner. If your parcel is deeded to a group, then you will also have to deed your presenter to the group. To do this, right click the presenter, and choose edit. Click General Tab, and ck "Set.." for Set group. See: 􀀁
  87. Choose the same group that the parcel is set to. See 􀀀
  88. Then check the box that says "Share with group" and choose "deed", If deed is greyed out, that means, you do not have the presenter selected (ie: you clicked on something else while doing this step, and now nothing is selected) or, you do not have deeding priveleges for the group you are trying to deed the projector too. In this case, you have to ask the group administrator to give you deeding priveleges.

  90. 2) WHAT IS THE PRESENTER?
  91. The SLOODLE presenter is a tool for creating presentations (for lecture, seminar or self-paced tutorial use) in Second Life. The presenter avoids the requirement to upload images into Second Life and allows presentations to combine images, web-pages and videos by streaming the presentation content into Second Life using the media settings. Thus, each slide can be one of:
  92. 1. a webpage
  93. 2. an image
  94. 3. a video (in Quicktime compatible format - e.g. mov or mp4)
  95. As it uses the parcel media settings, the presenter must be owned by the land owner - or deeded to the land owning group where the land is group owned.
  96. Presentations can be viewed in Second Life and/or in Moodle itself. The presenter can be set to allow any avatar - or only the owner - to control the presentation using the forward and back buttons.
