Configure Sloodle

Please download and install Sloodle if you have not already done so.

Finding the configuration page

If you have the Sloodle Menu Block installed, then administrators will see a "Sloodle Configuration" link on it, which should take you directly to the appropriate page. Otherwise, you can find the page using the steps outlined below. Please note: Moodle skins and languages can make this process a little different.

Moodle 2.5 (?) and higher

1. Login and go to your site's homepage
2. Look for the "Site Administration" menu on the left
3. Click on "Plugins" -> "Activity Modules" -> "Manage Activities" -> "Sloodle Module"

Moodle 1.9 to 2.4 (?)

1. Login and go to your site's homepage
2. Look for the "Site Administration" menu on the left
3. Click on "Modules" -> "Activities" -> "Sloodle Module"

Moodle 1.8

1. Login and go to your site's homepage
2. Look for the "Site Administration" menu on the left
3. Click on "Modules"
4. On the list that appears below, click "Activities"
5. On the next page, look down the list for "Sloodle Module" or "Sloodle Virtual Classroom"
6. Click the "Settings" link to the right

Configuration

• Auto Registration - you can enable or disable auto registration for the entire site (note: if disabled here, then individual course settings for auto registration are ignored)
• Auto Enrolment - you can enable or disable auto enrolment for the entire site (note: if disabled here, then individual course settings for auto enrolment are ignored)
• Active Object Lifetime -- you can specify how many days an authorized object can be inactive before it is disabled (for security). Set to 0 if you want the objects never to expire.
• User Object Lifetime -- you can specify how many days an authorized user object (e.g. the Sloodle Toolbar) can be inactive before it is disabled (for security). Set to 0 if you want the objects never to expire.
