this medication works if i take it soon as i feel a migraine coming on, unlike other meds this one actually works for me, although it interacts with my other meds i do very well. but don't over do it if you don't need it don't take it. it gives you one hell of a rebound headache then a migraine like you can't even imagine, and thats what happened to me a couple of years ago, when my doc told me take them for prevention. now more new doc told me take when neccessary, it is a miracle. This is the most successful medication (with absolutely NO side effects) I've taken for headaches. I have used it for over 20 years and trust it completely. There was never even a suggestion of dependence associated with this treatment. this medication has helped me with my migrains. it is a good drug but only if you really need because it is a strong medication. this drug works so good for me that their are several days that go by that i do not have to take it and i like that beacause i hate getting migrains. I have been using Fioricet 40 mg for 10 years for Migraines and have found it to be the best treatment for me. It can sometimes make me feel a little "stoned" but that passes within half an hour and I can move on with my day. This is a very good drug for headaches, stop it on a dime but, you have to be careful will get hook. It has taken soooo long to find something to treat the headaches I haave. The very first day I took this it was gone! What a Godsend!! This medicine really worked for my migranes but I began getting rebound headaches when I wasnt taking it. If you get migranes 3 or more times a week I dont recommend taking this medicine. I think this med is pretty good, i really enjoy the relaxing feeling, and that is the part that could become addictive, i never though i would have to rely on pills to live my life, i feel that i have grown a dependency on this med, i also have taken oxycodone, that worked better than anything but i cant get prescribed to that, but i am satisfied with this drug the only problem is i end up having to take more that prescribed, just like i did with my dolgic plus. If anyone else finds this med addictive, or dependant, please reply to me, oerall though great med I found this drug to work very well and my migraines are usually gone within a half hour of taking. very very addictive Thhis works 90 per cent of the time, as long as you take it as soon as you feel the headache coming. Only thing, you will test for abnormal liver enzymes, I tested for years and no one ever said that the meds were doing it. The retested over and over and ran different blood work, the last thing they wanted to do was a liver biopsy!! Now, I am trying to, after ten years, to try something different! Magnesium, B-12 and COQenzyme is supposed to prevent migraines. Hope it will work! This medication is a miracle drug. I have alot of headaches and this is the only thing that I have found that works. This medication has helped with my tension headaches, but I don't like the fact that it relaxes me so much I fall asleep somtimes. I don't like taking it durring the day at work, and it works best if you take it right when you feel the headache comming on. I"ve had migraines since age 8,finally went to my DR. at age of 23 and this is what he gave me. It changed my life completly, and I was able to live a fun, full life... I juggle life around my headaches.It has been a very useful med. for my needs. This is the best migraine medicine that i have ever taken. It had literally cleared up my migraine in ten minutes. This medicine did not make me drowsy, dizzy, or even nauseated. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you are pregnant. I though that I would be stuck dealing with these migraines through pregnancy, but luckily i received this prescription. I had a headache for three days and was hospitalized. They could find nothing to help me get over the headache. Finally they tried Fioricet 40 mg and it worked. I now have some on hand so when I feel a headache coming on I usually take two pills and it is gone. If a headache gets away from me, I can usually use four pills and that is all I need. I get a headache once a month or less often. Fioricet 40 mg works well for me it is easy to use and i am very satisfied with my experience.I have a neck and back injury.Fioricet 40 mg stops numbness and burning in my feet,legs, arms also other muscles tat come from spinal cord damage from a crush injury 22 years ago,I hope this information helps someone with the same promblem. Be very vrey careful with this medication i have taken it on and off for 20 years around 7 years ago the headaches were getting worse and the side effects were also and the REBOUND h/a was worse then the first one. I stopped taking the medication on my own and wound up having seizers and then had to go to a hospital for withdrawal. After if got out after i year i started taking it again when i tried to stop again same thing i signed myself in got the drug out of my system and have been drug free and h/a free for almost 7 years. The stoned feeling and the groggniss is not worth what i went through thankfully after being through all of this my headaches have gone away for good i went through menopause at the same time thought the headaches would get worse but they went away now i wonder if they were all migraine's or mostly rebound headaches the medication works very well but please be very very careful on it. I am not an additive person but please be careful with this medicine it almost took my life. works just fine for me, no side effects at all. kicks in quickly, and the head ache does not come back. the only problem is the caffeine, not the best thing to take before bed. |
