Deed

From SLIS Second Life Wiki

Second Life imposes restrictions on who can stream images, webpages, and videos ('streaming media') in parcels of land -- this affects who can setup tools such as the SLOODLE Presenter. If the land you are working on is owned by a Second Life group, then you will need to 'deed' objects to that group in order to allow them to use parcel media.

  • Note: you will need to be a member of the group and have 'deeding' permission. This usually includes owners and officers of the group.

To deed an object (such as the Presenter), right click it and choose "Edit". Click the "General" tab, and then click the "Set..." button beside the group name. Choose the group which owns the parcel of land.

Right click and edit the presenter

Tick the box which says "Share with group", and then click "Deed". If you cannot click the "Deed" button, then you may not have deeding permission in the group. In this case, you have to ask the group administrator to give you deeding permission.
